Community Spirit at Christmas in Newport, Wales How Local Kindness Reached Families, Children, and People in Crisis At Christmas, people often talk about “community spirit.”

Across Newport, acts of kindness — big and small — are shaping lives every single day.This month, we’ve seen an incredible wave of generosity from Asda Pillgwenlly, its customers, and the Asda Foundation. One item can provide a meal, warmth, or dignity.Suggested donation items include: Canned goods (soup, vegetables, beans, tuna) Dry staples (pasta, rice, cereal) Toiletries (soap, toothpaste, deodorant) Baby essentials (nappies, wipes) Every item stays in Newport.
